                                    District Diploma Requirements

Futures Alternative School offers the Boone Basic Diploma at 36 credits for any new student coming in under academic requirements listed in the Futures Handbook (see page 3).

                                 On-Line Learning

On-line learning is offered at Futures using On-Line Learning. Every On-Line Learning course features direct instruction lessons led by highly qualified, certified teachers. Media-rich content keeps students engaged, and interactive instructional tools help them build knowledge and skills with the right level of scaffolding and support.

On-Line courses meet common core and state standards, engaging students through robust content delivered by interactive, media-rich instruction and experienced, certified teachers.

                                   Futures Schedule

We use flex scheduling.  Schedules will be determined by teacher, student, and parent upon enrolling.

7:30-8:30——————————-Staff in building

8:30-9:10——————————————–1st Period

9:10-10:00—————————————–2nd Period

10:00-10:40—————————————-3rd Period

10:40-11:20—————————————-4th Period

11:20-12:00——————————————-LUNCH

12:00-12:40—————————————-5th Period

12:40-1:30——————————————6th Period

1:30-2:10——————————————–7th Period

2:10-2:50——————————————–8th Period

2:50-3:30——————————-Staff in building (Except Fridays, close at 3:10)

-On early release days, students will leave the building at the given time.

-Late starts for weather related issues will be the same as Boone High School.

IE:  2 hour late start means we will start school at 10:30.

-Early releases for heat/snow will be the same as Boone High School.

-Listen to KWBG for weather related announcements or Infinite Campus.
