The Boone Community School District Toreador Tot program has been created to support and engage the families of 0-5 age children in the Boone community. We understand there is so much to prepare as you get ready to send your child to preschool and kindergarten. We want to give you support and resources to rest assured your child is ready for their first step in education, please join us at our upcoming and ongoing Toreador Tot events!
Boone Community School’s State-wide Voluntary Preschool Program for 4 year olds
Students begin their educational journey through a half day preschool program for four year-olds at both Lincoln and Page Elementary Schools. The Boone Community School District preschool program utilizes the instructional practices of the Iowa Quality Preschool Standards of the Iowa Department of Education.
Our teachers create a nurturing environment for your student to grow emotionally, socially, and academically. This FREE preschool program is for children that turn four-years old on or before September 15th of the year you plan to enroll your student in preschool.
Boone Community School District Kindergarten Experience Opportunities
In the Boone Community School District we strive to create a safe, caring, and rigorous learning environment for our early childhood students. Therefore, we support and partner with parents through your student’s educational journey knowing the early years are vital in fostering student’s love for learning.
For our kindergarten students we have two options for experiences available:
Transitional Kindergarten & Kindergarten
To be eligible for Boone Community School District’s kindergarten experience options your student needs to be five-years old on or before September 15th of the year you plan to enroll them in Kindergarten.

The Page handbook has been developed to help students and parents to become better acquainted with your school. Every effort has been made to outline school policies, procedures, and services.
